Tamari Tofu With Sesame

Yum! Baked tofu marinated in Tamari sesame sauce. Try these flavorful protein-packed morsels.  Try this tamari tofu and let me know what you think.




  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Slice tofu into medium slices.
  3. Place on oiled cookie sheet and bake for about 12 minutes, then turn over and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Take out of oven and cool.
  5. While your tofu is cooling, prepare the marinate.
  6. In small bowl, whisk Tamari, sesame oil, liquid smoke, agave, and seasonings.
  7. Once tofu has cooled, chop into small pieces, Combine tofu and marinate.
  8. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and cilantro.

    I haven’t tried marinating the tofu after baking it, guess that can work, too. And this is a very low-fat way to prepare the tofu. You’ve got lots of good, bold flavors in there with the liquid smoke, red pepper flakes, and tamari.
